Participant Prize Numbers

In some places the rules sound as if all eligible participants will receive a prize but on the home page the prize descriptions look like there are 500 participant prizes. Can you confirm if there is a limit for participant prizes or not?

  Hey Jason!

  Yes, there is NOT a maximum quantity available for participation prizes. We have to put in a quantity when creating the prize list so we went with 500, but if there are 600 eligible they would give out 600 :)

  The prize chart in the rules (Section 7) lays it out:

  - 1 per eligible Maker (whether an Individual, Team, or Organization)

  - Limit of one Participant Prize per Maker (not per Skill).

  The plain English version is if you submit 5 eligible skills, you'll only get one participation prize even if you have more than one person on your team. That said, if you submit 5 eligible skills, they may be eligible for different prize categories so there is value to doing so.
