Not Supporting All Hubs

Hi, quick question,

We're looking to mainly build our skill for the medium/large hubs, and potentially FireTV, but not the small hub form factor (echo spot). Is that ok within the contest rules?

Best,
Narek

Sure! You can build for specific devices. The main requirement says: "Build (or update) and publish a skill using the Alexa Presentation Language (APL) that leverages the screen on one of the following devices: Fire TV, Echo Show, and Echo Spot" so we only ask that you make it work on at least one of them. When completing the Devpost submission form, there's a field for testing instructions. You can explain which device you built for in that field. You'll probably be asked a similar question when submitting to the skill store for certification.

I'm excited to see what you're making. Very curious!

I have the same question, my skill is so that it will not work on a echo dot, so does this mean I will not be eligible for the competition?

    according to this rule

Your skill must be usable on voice-only devices such as the Amazon Echo, and must use APL to add visual content when used on compatible devices with displays such as Echo Show, Echo Spot, and Fire TV.
