Echo Buttons Skill
Hi, quick question, will it be an issue with the requirement that the skill must work on a non-display device if our skill needs Echo Buttons to function?
Currently, we're planning on having APL replace the button functionality via touchscreen, and we'll revert to the original input methods of voice + buttons if a display is not detected. We just wanted to make sure this wouldn't violate any contest rules.
Best,
Narek

Hey Narek,
I think it's fine, but let me double check and get back to you.

Got an answer for you! Yes, you can do this and it will not be breaking any rules. It's a clever idea, too.
They also suggested that you do this to make this plan work: "In the developer’s “canHandle”, he just needs to check if there is a display or not. When there is, do not open the inputHandler for buttons. When there isn’t, open the input handler."
